The renovation has begun. The inn is being transformed into a hotel that reflects the local colour and combines it with contemporary architecture. "A dialogue between old and new is to be created, which uses up the special character of the place and transforms it into something new. Here, in the valley, our most distinctive asset is nature. However, the existing buildings have their history and function, too. We try to highlight the concepts of nature, horses, peacefulness and recreation through the architecture. Ecological aspects also play a vital role in this process", says the architect Carolin Schmidt-Samy.
Szentmihálypuszta is the largest equestrian centre in Western Hungary. Our riding stable is located in the picturesque valley of the Zala River, which gives the region its name and feeds Lake Balaton. Surrounded by lovely hills, our equestrian centre is an ideal starting point for various exciting trail rides in the unspoiled nature. We also have a modern, indoor riding arena (40x20m) for horse riding lessons, so that we can offer a perfect learning experience for both advanced and beginner riders. Our child-friendly hotel guarantees an unforgettable holiday for the whole family. In our restaurant, you can try the traditional Hungarian cuisine along with excellent local wines.
ACCOMODATION
In our simply furnished rooms you can recover from the day and recharge your batteries for the new day. Just ask us for a room in a suitable size. We are currently expanding our pension and renovating all rooms to make your stay even more pleasant. All prices and details you can see here.
SEMINARS
Conference rooms will be created during the reconstruction so that in the future we can host seminars and workshops lasting one or more days. Whether your workshop is related to horse riding – such as horse-supported leadership seminars, teambuilding gatherings, seminars for riders, etc. – or sports management in general, we would be happy to inform you about the possibilities.
HOLIDAY WITH YOUR DOG
We’d be delighted to welcome your dog to our home. Our farm offers endless space for playing, walking, running and swimming, so there is no need to leave your furry friend home. Enjoy your vacation together with your dog!
CATERING
The choice is yours: bed-and-breakfast or half-board. At lunchtime and in the evening our restaurant offers seasonal dishes à la carte.
